Sea (SE.US), the parent company of Southeast Asian e-commerce platform Shopee, in which TENCENT (00700.HK) has a stake, disclosed its results for the third quarter ended September. Total revenue increased by 38.3% YoY to US$5.986 billion, beating the market expectation of US$5.69 billion. Gross profit rose by 39.7% to US$2.599 billion. Adjusted EBITDA grew by 67.7% to US$874 million. Net income hiked by 144.6% to US$375 million. Diluted EPS were US$0.59, significantly lower than the market expectation of US$1.02 per share.
