BIDU-SW (09888.HK) announced that its autonomous driving mobility service platform, Apollo Go, is expanding its cooperation with AutoGo, an autonomous driving mobility company in the UAE under K2 Group. They plan to deploy hundreds of autonomous vehicles in Abu Dhabi within 2026, establishing the largest fully autonomous fleet in Abu Dhabi. Apollo Go, having been tested locally for several months, obtained the first fully autonomous operation permits in Abu Dhabi, marking the first large-scale public fully autonomous driving service launched outside of China. Zhang Liang, General Manager of Baidu Intelligent Driving Group for Europe and the Middle East, remarked that the new phase will focus on larger-scale operations, promoting Abu Dhabi towards a safer, smarter, and more sustainable transportation future.
