Hong Kong Stock Market Summary
The HSI was dragged down to below 19,000 on Friday,
amid concern of high possibility of Greece to abandon the
Euros. The index closed at 18,951, down by 249 pts. With
the bearish factors in the foreign market, the HSI may find
its support at 18,300 over short term.
U.S. ordered tariffs of 31% to 250% on solar panels
imported from China, leading losses in related shares.
GCL-POLY ENERGY (3800), which has just released its Q1
results, slumped 7.8% to HK$1.66. COMTEC SOLAR (712)
and TRONY SOLAR (2468) fell 2.2% and 1.8% respectively. It
was said that new regulatory standards for mainland banks
will be launched next year. ICBC (1398), BOC (3988), ABC
(1288) and CCB (939) slid by a range of 0.9% to 2.1%.
